Dr.
Danilo Largo, is the chairman
of the Biology Department at the University of
San Carlos, Cebu. He is one of the principal
investigators of the Panglao Marine Biodiversity
Project 2004. He specializes on seaweed disease
and primarily works on the red alga Eucheuma/Kappaphycus.
In the Panglao Project, he coordinates with the
Principal Project Investigator and the Philippine
participants

Dr. Lawrence M. Liao,
is Professor of Marine Biology at the Biology
Department, University of San Carlos. He
works on the taxonomy of marine benthic algae
and coordinates with the crustacean taxonomy
group under Dr. Peter Ng. He specializes
on the systematics of the Gracilariaceae,
a group of economically important seaweed

Dr.
Danilo Dy, is a professor
of the University of San Carlos, Marine Biology
Section. He works on the ecophysiology of marine
organisms especially macroinvertebrates. In Panglao
Project, he is tasked in collecting and
sorting parasitic gastropods of echinoderms
working with the Intertidal Group headed

Mr.
Noel Saguil, is a research
associate at the University of San
Carlos for the Panglao Marine Bidodiversity Project
2004 and specializes on molluscs. He is responsible
for the Prior Informed Consent (PIC) process
- a requirement for the
legal permit from the Philippine Government.

he is the overall incharge of the external
affairs in relations to fishermen; to barangay
captains;
handle questions from Non-Government Organizations

Mr. Dave Anthony Valles, is
the curator of the USC Marine Biological Collection
and is an associate instructor of Marine Biology
at the University of
San Carlos. In the Panglao
Project, he is in charge of the maintenance of
scientific supplies; preparation of ready-to-use
preservatives; maintenance of sorting/sieving

Mr.
Michael Cusi, is an instructor
of Marine Biology at the University of San Carlos,
teaching General Oceanography, Invertebrate Zoology
and specializes on GIS and remote sensing application
to coastal resource management.

is USC's counterpart to the GIS team of the Panglao
Project, working with Céline Chauvin and Emma

Roxie Diaz, is a Marine
Biology graduate from University of San Carlos.
A certified advanced scuba-diver, he has
extensive field collecting experience around
the Philippines with various multinational
expeditions. He is interested in Crustacean
biodiversity and is charged with material
seiving and processing raw samples in the
